TOUR DESCRIPTION

DAY 1

This will be the day you arrive in our beautiful country! We'll be expecting you at the airport with a warm welcome. If you feel like it we'll go for a quick drive around the city so you can check the surroundings and then will drop you off at the Sheraton hotel for you to recover from a long trip.

DAY 2

Time to discover our incredible city, where colonial architecture meets modern life and breathtaking sights await. Begin with a delicious breakfast at the Sheraton Hotel before we take you on a cable-car ride to the cathedral atop Monserrate peak, over 10,000 feet above sea level! Enjoy panoramic views of a city home to nearly 10 million people. After descending, we'll explore the historic old town on foot, and the walk will reward you with a delightful local lunch at a typical Colombian restaurant.

Afterwards, we'll cross the city for an immersive coffee tasting experience, followed by a short walk around the magical neighborhood of Usaquén. By then, you’ll probably want to rest back at your hotel, but the day doesn't end there. We’ll soon pick you up again for dinner and drinks at the one-of-a-kind Andrés Carne de Res restaurant!

DAY 3

At 7:30 am, be ready for the EXC truck to pick you and your gear up at your hotel. We'll head north to Nemocon, a salt and coal town at 8,500 FT above sea level. On the way there we’ll stop to try some local delights, and by 9:30 am, we'll start riding the famous "Dehydrator" desert trail.

By noon, we'll descend to Cucunubá, one of Colombia's most beautiful towns, for a delicious local lunch at a magical hacienda. After dessert and coffee, you'll compete in a thrilling time attack with your friends!

At around 3 pm, we'll head back to the parking lot, enjoy a cold beer, and prepare for a 90-minute drive to the colonial Café La Huerta Hotel in Guasca. You'll love this colonial hotel with fine dining, owned by one of our riding buddies! (https://www.instagram.com/cafelahuerta/)

DAY 4

On day 4 you'll be able to sleep a bit later, enjoy your breakfast and appreciate the beautiful scenery at the Café La Huerta Hotel. At 9:30am we'll start riding right off of the hotel. After a few minutes of riding a dirt road we'll be hitting different technical trails, suddenly the Tominé reservoir will enlighten our path. At around 11am we should be facing "The Boob Peak". It's steepness is intimidating, but no need to worry, traction is good and you are going to love it! Lunch will be around noon, again with a magnificent view, then we obviously have to stop for a Colombian coffee at the historical town of Guatavita. This shot of energy we'll cover us to hit our way back to the Hotel for a nice evening by the fire pit or at the piano bar.

DAY 5

Time to go downhill! On day 5, the EXC truck will take you on a 90-minute drive to your starting point. From there, you'll descend on your bikes from 8,500 feet to almost 1,300 feet in just a couple of hours. Experience the dramatic changes in vegetation and weather as you work up a sweat heading to the amazing EXC Villa in Apulo, Cundinamarca, where you’ll get to chill and recover at the pool while you enjoy a BBQ, a few beers, and a memorable sunset.

DAY 6

The final day of riding promises to be fantastic! We'll challenge your switchback skills, and the hot weather will add an extra layer of difficulty. However, there will be rewards: you'll get to cool off at a stunning river, savor locally grown coffee and fruits, and take in breathtaking views of a completely different ecosystem.

DAY 7

If you decide it's time to fly home or to another city, we'll handle your airport drop-off. If you'd prefer to stay a few extra days, we'll take you to your chosen location in Bogota. It's time to say goodbye, but we're confident you'll be back for more!
